Camp in the Wild

Welcome to SeaMonkey Expeditions, where we invite you to join our thrilling Hike in the Wild with Camping Experience, as we venture into Jordan's largest nature reserve, brimming with wildlife and captivating landscapes.

On the first day, our journey begins with a departure from Amman at 9 am, taking us to the enchanting Dana Nature Reserve. Upon arrival at 12 pm, you'll settle in at the campsite and enjoy the freedom to explore the surrounding wilderness. Take the opportunity to hike self-guided trails, searching for small animals, these trails are famous for burrowing owls. Indulge in general birdwatching and other nature-centric activities. Throughout the day, you'll have the chance to immerse yourself in the beauty of this rugged terrain, appreciating the topography that clearly reflects Jordan's unique location between three major continents: Europe, Asia, and Africa.

As night falls, the campsite comes alive with the captivating sounds of the wild. Listen closely, and you might hear wolves howling in the distance, creating an unforgettable ambiance. With a bit of luck, you may even catch a glimpse of the elusive striped hyena in the tranquility of the night. However, we kindly remind you to stay within the campsite boundaries for safety reasons.

On the second day, after a hearty breakfast, we embark on a guided hike where we will be on the lookout for the majestic rock hyrax and the agile Nubian ibex, two remarkable inhabitants of this rugged terrain. The guided hike will be similar to our Hike in the Wild expedition, offering another chance to marvel at the wonders of Dana Nature Reserve. Afterward, we'll head back to Amman, cherishing the memories of this extraordinary experience, with an expected arrival at 5:30 pm.
